About GoldHearted Jewelry

Black & Latino Bronx artist. 3D sculptor first. Jewelry designer by way of everything that came before it.

GoldHearted is my world in jewelry. I’m King Cold, a Black and Latino artist from the Bronx whose path started with drawing, games, painting, and character art, moved into professional 3D design and animation, and eventually became jewelry.

I digitally sculpt every GoldHearted piece myself, then work with experienced casting, bench, setting, and production partners to bring the work into gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, gemstones, and enamel. The designs are personal—New York, family, culture, heroes, cartoons, games, faith, and the things I wish I had seen represented when I was younger.

My Story — From the Bronx to GoldHearted

Bronx Roots — Art Before 3D

I grew up in the Bronx loving art, drawing, painting, video games, and anything that let me create. I’m proud of my Black and Latino heritage, but access to art and technology education around me was limited. I knew pen, paper, paint, characters, and imagination long before I knew what 3D could become.

That matters to GoldHearted now because I want young people—especially Black and Latino kids who may not see themselves represented in art, technology, jewelry, or ownership—to see a path they can actually picture themselves walking.

Learning 3D & Building a Career

At Full Sail University I studied 3D design and animation, then went on to work on commercials and AAA video games. That experience trained my eye for anatomy, character, shape, proportion, texture, lighting, and the tiny details that make an object feel believable.

It also taught me that my strongest work happens when I can own the whole visual idea. GoldHearted became the place where the concept could start with me, stay personal, and still be pushed to a professional level.

From Digital Sculpture to Jewelry

I came into jewelry as a digital sculptor, so I approach a pendant, ring, grill, or nameplate like a piece of character art that also has to survive the real world. I can sculpt for silver, gold, platinum, enamel, diamonds, gemstones, and other jewelry-appropriate materials, then adjust thickness, relief, settings, texture, and construction around how the piece will be cast and worn.

The client can choose the metal they want. My job is to give them honest guidance about durability, upkeep, casting behavior, wear location, budget, and whether that material is the best match for the design.

GoldHearted — Culture, Representation & Point of View

GoldHearted is shaped by the things that made me: New York, hip-hop, Black and Latino culture, family, heroes, cartoons, games, old technology, faith, and nostalgia. That can turn into Black Jesus, a MetroCard tooth, a Basquiat-inspired art piece, a name chain, or something pulled from childhood.

I’m not trying to make every piece look the same. I want people to recognize the point of view—the feeling that somebody actually cared about the character, memory, or culture behind the object.

Mentorship, Workshops & Giving Back

I used to mentor more regularly and I still step into that role when I can. Now I’m bringing that same energy into community workshops where people can learn 3D design, jewelry workflows, and grillz-making skills that can become a real vocation and a way to make money.

GoldHearted EDU, workshops, and my give-back work are about access. I want the next kid who loves drawing, games, jewelry, or computers to see the tools earlier than I did. GoldHearted also donates a portion of sales to community-focused organizations, especially those serving Black, Latino, and underserved youth.

Partnerships

I also collaborate with artists and established jewelry-industry partners. That includes Carrera Casting, whose production services include recycled precious-metal options. These relationships help me connect digital sculpture to professional casting, setting, finishing, and responsible material choices.

Custom Jewelry Design, Built From Your Idea

The best custom pieces usually start with something personal—a sketch, a person, a logo, a memory, or an idea you can see in your head but can’t find anywhere else. That’s the kind of project I like.

I build the design in 3D myself. You choose the metal, stones, color direction, and the details you care about; I use my experience to explain upkeep, durability, casting limits, wear, thickness, and whether those choices make sense for the finished piece. From there I work with trusted casters, bench jewelers, setters, and production partners to bring the design into the real world.
